In this month long Mentorship the artist will be mentored on the creation and presentation of high quality, realistic animals and creatures for film vfx and cinematics. We will discuss your current skills and set realistic goals to improve your quality, workflow and knowledge. The Mentorship will be custom tailored to the artist and their goals.
As a creature artist, one is expected to know many different disciplines and to be as good technically as they are artistically. We will look at efficient workflows for creating assets from reference and concept art, modeling, sculpting, UVs, texturing and lookdev. We will also go over anatomy and how the study of realism and zoology can be used for brand new creatures. We will cover portfolio presentation techniques. We will also talk about design theory and how to push your work to the next level.
