Mentorship Info
This mentorship will focus on the creation of stylized character, creature, and prop assets for games, with an emphasis on hand-painted textures. At the start of the mentorship, the mentor will have a discussion with the mentee to understand their goals and current skill level. From this conversation, the content of the mentorship will be tailored to best help the mentee in working towards their aspirations, with realistic goals being established as a target for the end of the mentorship. Potential exercises can include focusing on quicker to execute assets (such as small props or character busts), material studies, hitting specific hand-painted styles, or diving into workflows for full character creation.
Ultimately at the end of the mentorship, the artist will have a better grasp of hand-painted stylized art creation and will have made progress towards their goals.

Jordan Ewing | Senior Character Artist
Jordan is a Senior Character Artist at Riot Games, where he currently works on the Skins Team for League of Legends. He has been in the industry for 8 years; during this time, he has had the pleasure of contributing as a Character and Concept Artist on both studio and indie productions -- across AAA titles, smaller productions, and unannounced/cancelled games. His expertise lies in stylized Character Art with an emphasis on hand-painted textures (working on cute content in particular gives him life). He has always had an interest in teaching and feels that the Mentorship Coalition offers a great opportunity for people to learn at their own pace.
