In this mentorship, the artist will be mentored through the process of crafting compelling environments using the same workflows utilized in most game studios.
Whether starting from scratch or looking to elevate a current WIP, we will start by evaluating your current skillset and discussing your goals. Based on this, we will come up for a plan for you to improve your skills, working towards an environment piece that will stand out and demonstrate AAA workflows and techniques.

Mentor Bio
George Sokol | Lead Environment Artist
George is currently working as a Lead Environment Artist at Riot Games.
He has been in the industry since 2008, starting out in QA and then working in the military simulation industry. George has worked on games such as VALORANT, Saints Row (2022), Agents of Mayhem, Saints Row 4, Saints Row 2, and Red Faction Geurrilla.
Throughout his career, George has often found himself in generalist positions covering most areas of Environment Art. From realistic to stylized, hard surface to organic, serving as a Props Artist, Worldbuilder, and Texture Artist, He has built up a wide range of experience across the Environment Art discipline. While the work at hand is ever-changing, George has always been motivated by the high level goals of Environment Art in games, the focus on telling stories and leveraging our craft to assist and even improve gameplay.
