Mentorship Info

This Mentorship, utilizing a customized, agile approach, is all about maximizing your game. At the outset, we will discuss your body of work, your industry goals, and how you'd like to grow and evolve. Environment Artists are often sought after for their diverse knowledge of a broad range of sub-disciplines. Accordingly, this mentorship will be customized to meet the specific demands of the Artist. Any topic, from texturing, rendering/presentation, modeling, lighting, working to concept, software specific workflows, can be covered during our sessions. From source art pipelines to creative ideation, even managing projects of scope and complexity, we can deep dive the subjects that matter most to the Artist and their goals. Beyond the specifics, every topic, every approach, will be examined within the framework, and to the perspective of the big picture. We will evaluate what factors truly matter to the end result, how an Artist can decisively determine what those factors are, and how best to maximize focus to achieve results that hold up over time.

Furthermore, a great deal of focus will be spent on presentation, and creating renders that will stand out from the crowd. Presentation success lives or dies on first impressions, but its longevity derives from care, balance, and attention to detail. We will pay special attention to employing the principles behind creating amazing final images, tailored to the Artist's preferred output software.
